FROM THE ARTIST
“I’m trying to get to the summit of my soul and work there-there where the universe sings.” Lawren S Harris
Lawren Harris’ words are pinned to a wall in my studio as a constant reminder that I am on a journey of reflection, inner growth, and awakening. It is partly due to these words that I too, venture on a journey back.
Throughout 2022, I will be releasing a collection of new paintings monthly that explore and give an insight glimpse into my journey back to where I felt that connection to source and my soul.
My paintings are created from what I feel, capturing various emotions of my subjects. As an artist I try to capture beauty wherever I can find it and portray that beauty in a painting. Believing that there is beauty in all of our feelings, and having to face my own, makes this a personally emotional journey.
It is my intent that this collection of paintings tell a narrative from where I began on this journey back.

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
"Journey Back" is a new kind of exhibition for Earls Court Gallery. Unlike most of our exhibitions, "Journey Back" will not be confined to a five week exhibition slot. Rather, the exhibition will continue to evolve with new paintings by Lorne Winters every 2nd Friday of the month.
Each month, painter Lorne Winters will release at least one new painting that will be featured in gallery and added to the "Journey Back" body of work. The painting will be accompanied by either words from the artist, progress images and insight into its creation.
An expanding exhibition allows the Gallery to continually showcase new paintings by Lorne Winters. This will offer the visitors and collectors alike to spend greater time contemplating the meaning behind the painting's creation.
We hope you enjoy checking back here for the latest painting and find time to visit them in Gallery.
